Penn State Football Hosting Ten Official Visitors This Weekend

Penn State football’s Class of 2025 enters their second weekend of official visitors with 13 commitments.

The question is how many of the 10 players that made the trip to State College this weekend will leave giving a commitment to James Franklin?

As things currently stand, of the 13 current commitments, 9 are from offensive players and 4 are on the defensive side of the ball.

Here’s a quick look at the 10 players that made official visits to State College this weekend. As you would expect, Coach Franklin and his staff brought in some big-time prospects.

Matthew Outten: 4-star Athlete from Portsmouth, Virginia. Offers from Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Duke, Georgia, Indiana, Pitt, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Phillip Bell: 5-star Wide Receiver from Mission Viejo, California. Top 100 Players according to Rivals.com. Offers from schools such as Penn State, Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC and Washington. Has upcoming official visits to USC, Ohio State and Tennessee. Bell has already visited Washington and Georgia.

Jeff Exinor Jr: 4-star Wide Receiver from Owings Mills, Maryland. Offers from Penn State, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Rashad Johnson: 4-star Safety from Bushnell, Florida. Johnson holds offers from Penn State, Alabama, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami Fla., Michigan State, Mississippi State, Oregon State, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Central Florida and West Virginia. Johnson has an official visit scheduled next weekend at Central Florida.

Kainoa Winston: 4-star safety from Washington DC. Offers have come from Penn State, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan St., Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Wisconsin and Rutgers.

Amory Hills: 3-star offensive guard from Baltimore, Maryland. Hills holds offers from Penn State, Boston College, Colorado, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Jarquez Carter: 4-star Defensive Lineman from Newberry, Florida. Carter holds offers from Penn State, Florida, Alabama, Colorado, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, NC State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Central Florida, USC and Washington. Carter has already made an official visit to Florida and will have one next weekend at Central Florida.

Jayden Woods: 4-star defensive end from Shawnee, Kansas. Rates as a Rivals Top 200 recruit. Woods holds offers from Penn State, Florida, Purdue, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Alabama, Baylor, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Stanford, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and USC. Following Penn State, Woods has visits scheduled to Purdue, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Daryus Dixson: 4-star cornerback from Santa Ana, California. Dixon is ranked by Rivals as the No. 4 prospect in California, the No. 8 cornerback and one of the Top 50 overall players in the Class of 2025. Holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington. Last weekend, Dixson made an official to Washington and next weekend, he’ll be in Knoxville.

Josh Johnson: 3-star safety from Ironton, Ohio. Offers from Penn State, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Boston College, Indiana, Michigan State, Tennessee and West Virginia.
