Former Penn State DE Chop Robinson has been a projected first-round draft pick for a while.
He didn’t hurt his chances at the NFL Combine, where he dominated.
So it seems to be a good bet that Robinson’s going in the first round, perhaps in the top 20.
The Los Angels Rams hold the 19th pick, and per a report by NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the team is flying to Happy Valley for a private visit with the man called Chop.

The Rams have had success during the Sean McVay era, which began in 2017. The peak of that era was in early 2022, when the team won the Super Bowl, and the best player of that era is unquestionably defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who announced his retirement last month.
Robinson and Donald play different positions but the standard for DL play in LA is high, as it is at Penn State.
Robinson lived up to that standard during his two seasons in Happy Valley.
Days after the 2023 regular season ended, the Big Ten named Robinson a unanimous first-team all-conference selection. He ended the year with Robinson has 15 tackles (12 solo), two forced fumbles, four sacks, a pass breakup, a fumble and five QB hurries.
Robinson was also excellent for Penn State in 2022. That season, Robinson’s played earned him unanimous All-Big Ten honorable mention as well as Penn State’s Reid-Robinson Outstanding Defensive Lineman Award along with Adisa Isaac. Robinson played in 12 of Penn State’s 13 games, missing only the team’s White Out win with Minnesota due to injury. He ended the season with 26 tackles (19 solo), 5.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a recorded fumble.
Whether it’s the Rams or another organization, somebody will be giving Robinson a big pay check soon.
