University Park— For the first time since the spring of 2016, Tom Allen is starting the season as a defensive coordinator.
This was the second practice viewing window Nittany Sports Now has been present for this spring season and the first it spent on Allen’s side of the field, and the DC/LBs coach led his men through drills.
NSN also got a look at coach Deion Barnes and the defensive line, which now features former All-Big Ten linebacker Abdul Carter, who switched to defensive end over the winter.
NSN then moved to the other side, where WR coach Marques Hagans did the same.
