Death, taxes and Penn State wrestling dominating.
Not long after Braeden Davis completed his journey to the Big Ten title at 125, Penn State clinched its second straight Big Ten team championship.
This is Penn State’s eight Big Ten title, all of which com king under Cael Sanderson.
From the start, it’s been a great tournament for Penn State. The team placed all nine of its healthy competitors in the semifinals, and seven of those nine made it to the finals. So far, Penn State’s wrestled three of its title matches, with Davis and Levi Haines (157) winning, and Beau Bartlett (141) falling to Ohio State’s Jesse Mendez.
Penn State’s main goal is to win an 11th national title under Sanderson. It will have a chance to do that at the national championships in Kansas City March 21-23.
