There aren’t a lot of high school prospects like Michel Adams.
He’s 6-foot-6, 245 pounds, which jumps off the page right away, and that build has helped him become a blue-chip prospect.
247Sports has him as one of its top 247 prospects (No. 231 in the country) from the Class of 2028, as well as a top 25 edge prospect (No. 24) and the No. 2 player in Delaware.
Penn State fans recently had the pleasure of watching a tall defensive end from Delaware, Dani Dennis-Sutton, for the last four years.
Time will tell when the Middletown star will commit and where he will go, but Penn State is certainly an option, and he just visited for the team’s 55-13 win over Buffalo Saturday afternoon.
“Obviously, they put on a great show the other day and beat the team very bad,” Adams told Nittany Sports Now. “So I feel like they’re on a rebuild (with a new coaching staff), but they’re doing pretty good so far from what I’ve seen.”
One advantage Penn State could have in recruiting edge prospects like Adams is that they have a defensive ends coach, which not everybody does.
Although Ikaka Malloe has the title of defensive line coach, he works with the defensive tackles, and defensive ends coach Christian Smith works with, believe it or not, the defensive ends.
“He’s a great guy, great coach,” Adams said. “You know what he’s talking about, you know, like what to do at the right time, what technique is the best, stuff like that. So he’s a great coach, great uh person, and that’s my guy.”

“I feel like I think I’m really good on my pass rush,” he said, “but I think, man, when I’m in the run game, sticking the point, I feel like I struggle with that sometimes. But I think this past week I did a pretty good job with it, and I will continue to do a good job with it.
Some NFL defensive ends Adams admires are Mike Green, Aidan Hutchinson and Myles Garrett, and that’s where Adams would like to be one day.
But that’s a long way off, and for now, the two big football priorities are to finish his high school career strong and to find the best college fit.
Adams has offers from schools such as Boston College, Duke, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, in addition to Penn State.
So where does PSU rank?
“I would say they’re they’re pretty uh pretty high on my list,” he said. “Like obviously, I haven’t made a big decision yet, but I think Penn State, I’m definitely making sure to keep my eyes on them because it’s a program that’s on the come up.”
Adams said he wants to make a decision by the spring of 2027.
