On3 has Wilson as the No. 4 DL and No. 26 overall player in its On300 rankings.
247Sports’ composite rankings have Wilson as the No. 10 DL in the country from his class, as well as the No. 3 overall player in Maryland and the 110th-ranked player in the country.
He’s been on Penn State’s radar for a while, with PSU offering him in June 2022. Along with his finalists, Wilson also has offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Pitt, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Wilson was at Penn State this past weekend for the school’s first Junior Day event of 2024, and that wasn’t his first appearance. Wilson was also there for Penn State’s game against Michigan, after wish he spoke glowingly of PSU to 247Sports.
“I love Penn State,” Wilson said. “They treat me like family and it’s never really a boring moment when I step on campus.”
Penn State would love to have Wilson, as well. Defensive line coach Deion Barnes is quite familiar with defensive linemen from Maryland. Barnes helped Chop Robinson (Gaithersburg) develop into a likely 2024 first-round draft pick, and is also helping Dani Dennis-Sutton, who’s from Delaware but played at the McDonough School in Owings Mills, Maryland, develop into a star.
Penn State doesn’t yet have a DL committed to its ‘25 Class.
