Penn State Star Declares for Draft, Will Play in Peach Bowl

Atlanta— Another Penn State player has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Adisa Isaac’s Penn State career will end after five seasons, he announced via X (formerly Twitter) Wednesday night.

Isaac developed into one of the Big Ten’s best ends.

Isaac led Penn State in tackles for loss (15) and sacks (7.5). Carter led the team in tackles with 47 and had eight TFL, also picking up 2.5 sacks, breaking up four passes and intercepting one. His story is an inspirational one as well. Isaac missed the 2021 season due to a knee injury. But he bounced back to become a star that’s headed to the next level.

In his statement, Isaac said the years he’s had at Penn State have been “some of the most remarkable years of my life.”

“For five years I have been able to go to work and make lifelong memories with my brothers and this great coaching staff. We’ve competed in front of the best fans in the country, and none of this has ever been taken for granted. What a privilege it has been to be able to pursue my academic career as well. And now I can call myself a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.”

Before Penn State, Isaac was a team captain in three of his four seasons at Canarsie High School.

After his senior season— which ended with Isaac posting 25 sacks, 88 tackles and 34 tackles for loss— USAToday named Isaac to its All-USA New York Team, and the National Football Foundation named him its 2018 New York City Mr. Football.

Penn State will now officially be without its top two EDGE rushers next season. Earlier this month, Chop Robinson declared for the draft and opted out of the Peach Bowl.
