After more than a week without playing a game Penn State basketball took care of Rider at the Bryce Jordan Center Friday afternoon 90-63.
The team is how back to over .500 at 7-6 after a disheartening and controversial loss to Georgia Tech at Madison Square Garden Dec. 17.
The team led 44-24 at the half and didn’t look back in the second half.
As usual, Kanye Clary led the way for Penn State, ending with 29 points on 12-for-16 shooting. Ace Baldwin added 10 and D’Marco Dunn added 12 off the bench. Puff Johnson also added 10.
Clary was the only Penn State player to score in double figures, but that didn’t matter. For Rider, Mervin James ended the day with 19 points and Allen Powell had 10.
Penn State’s back in Big Ten play Thursday, Jan. 4 at Michigan State.
