For the first time in program history, Penn State men’s basketball had two players be selected in a single NBA Draft.
First, it was Jalen Pickett.
Now, it’s Seth Lundy’s turn.
Lundy was taken by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round, 14 picks after Pickett went to the Pacers.

Lundy played at Penn State for four years, and experienced a lot of ups and downs. In his first season, the team would have made it to the NCAA Tournament if not for COVID-19. After that, coach Pat Chambers left the school in ugly fashion, and interim coach Jim Ferry tried to pick up the pieces during a pandemic-themed 2020-21 season.
Along the way, Lundy became one of the Big Ten’s best two way players, ending his career with 1,283 points and being Penn State’s best lockdown defender. Lundy declared for the Draft in late March.
Lundy scored his 1,000th point during this past January in a win over Indiana. He was the second Penn State veteran to crack 1,000 points that week . The Wednesday before, Lundy’s longtime teammate, Myles Dread, joined the club in Penn State’s loss at Michigan.
Last season’s NCAA Tournament team had five players in the 1,000-point club. Dread, Pickett, Andrew Funk and Cam Wynter were also in the club by the time they graduated. Of those five, only Lundy and Dread stayed at Penn State for their entire college career’s.
It’s been a good year for Lundy. He played a big role in Penn State making its first NCAA Tournament and Big Ten Championship Game appearances since 2011. Now, two of the five regular starters on that team are NBA bound.
