Penn State has contacted UMass transfer guard RJ Luis. Luis reportedly told NCAA insider Jon Rothstein a list of schools that have contacted him, with Penn State among them.

The list includes Colorado, DePaul, Georgia, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Penn State, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Luis is a 6-foot-7, 196-pound guard from Miami with three years remaining eligibility. He appeared in 27 games last season, making 10 starts and averaging 11.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Despite being from Florida, he spent his senior year of high school playing prep ball at Mt. Zion Prep in Maryland. While there, he was a three-star recruit on Rivals and 247Sports, the latter of which had him ranked as the No. 7 recruit in Florida.
