Penn State women’s basketball released their non-conference schedule on Wednesday, and they will be playing eight of their eleven non-conference games at the Bryce Jordan Center.

It was also announced that Penn State will be playing in the Daytona Beach Invitational on Nov. 25-26. It has not been confirmed who they will be playing.

Penn State will begin its season with seven consecutive home games starting with facing Norfolk State on Nov. 9, followed by hosting Fairfield on Nov. 11, Youngstown State on Nov. 15, Bryant on Nov. 16, and Syracuse on Nov. 21.

They will be hosting Virginia in the Women’s Big 10-ACC Challenge on Nov. 30. Penn State will play their only true non-conference away game against Drexel on Dec 18., and then they will be hosting Cornell to conclude their non-conference schedule.

Penn State will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 11-18 record in the 2021-22 season under fourth-year head coach Carolyn Keiger.

Penn State will return their leading scorer in Makenna Marisa, who averaged 22.2 points per game while also leading Penn State in assists averaging 4.2 per game. They will also return their second-leading scorer in Leilani Kapinus, who averaged just under ten points per game last season while leading the team in rebounds (5.7 per game), steals (2.2), and blocks (1.1).
