Coach Micah Shrewsberry and Penn State will be on the road for this year’s ACC/Big Ten Basketball Challenge.

The matchups for this conference battle were announced and Penn State will be on the road to take on Clemson.

This will be the first game between these two programs since 2005.

Last season, Clemson went 17-16 overall and 8-12 in the ACC, finishing No. 81 in the net rankings.

Clemson will be returning its leading scorer in 6’10”, 240-pound center PJ Hall (15.5 points/game) but have lost guard David Collins (10.3 points), guard Al-Amir Dawes (11.3 points) and Nick Honor. The Tigers added Boston College transfer Brevin Galloway, who averaged 8.3 points per game last season.

Penn State will have eight new faces this season, including five incoming freshmen- Jameel Brown, Kebba Njie, Evan Mahaffey, Kanye Clary and Demetrius Lilley.

This matchup against Clemson is the second non-conference game for Penn State that has been announced. Penn State will take part in the Charleston Classic, which takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving.
