The lure of playing for Coach Micah Shrewsberry was something that Jameel Brown couldn’t pass up on.
The 4-star combo guard announced on Monday that he was committing to play for Shrewsberry and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Originally, Brown intended on playing at Purdue but de-committed from the Boilermakers after Shrewsberry was hired at Penn State.

This is a big get for the Nittany Lions program as Brown is ranked the No. 84 overall player in the Class of 2022. Aside from Penn State, Brown held offers from Notre Dame, Minnesota, Auburn, St. Joe’s, Richmond, Temple, Xavier, Purdue, Marquette and UMass.
Brown becomes the 3rd member of Penn State’s Class of 2022, joining 3-star forward Evan Mahaffey from Cincinnati, Ohio and 3-star point guard Kanye Clary.
