Penn State Lands Commitment from 2022 Three-Star Center Demetrius Lilley

Penn State head coach Micah Shrewsberry has struck again, adding another big — literally — name to his already strong 2022 recruiting class.

2022 three-star center Demetrius Lilley from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania committed to the Nittany Lions Friday afternoon, Ari Rosenfeld of Elite High School Scouting reported. Lilley (6-foot-10, 230 pounds) gives the Lions’ ninth-ranked 2022 class, according to 247Sports, its fifth recruit so far.

Rosenfeld broke down Lilley’s strengths, giving Penn State a floor-spacing big man with some outside shooting and defensive versatility. In the district championship game earlier this year, Lilley flashed his potential with a 31 point showing — hitting three 3-pointers in the process.

Lilley picked Penn State over a handful of other colleges like Bryant, East Carolina, La Salle, Saint Joesph’s and Texas A&M.

With four-star center Kebba Njie already committed to Penn State’s 2022 class, Lilley adds another big man to give the Nittany Lions some size and versatility in the future.
