Top In-State Recruit Quinton Martin Will Attend Blue-White Game

Penn State Football

Quinton Martin, one of the top athlete recruits in Pennsylvania for the class of 2024, announced that he will attend the Blue-White game April 23.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound running back/wide receiver/defensive back out of Belle Vernon High School has received offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Boston College.

Martin averaged 11 yards per carry as a sophomore and scored 12 touchdowns on the ground for the Leopards. He also averaged over 16 yards per reception and caught two touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 18 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception in 2021. As a freshman, Nelson was named to the MaxPreps All-Freshman team as a defensive back.

Martin is being viewed as a five-star recruit according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, and a four-star according to 247’s site rankings. Penn State is looking for an impact player for the class of 2024 and it appears that the main competition for Martin is coming from in-state rival Pitt.

The upcoming Blue-White game is an opportunity for Penn State to use its advantages in on-campus facilities, game-day atmosphere and tradition to get a leg up on their rivals from the west.

Penn State’s only commit from the class of 2024 is offensive lineman Cooper Cousins, a four-star recruit out of McDowell High School.
