In what shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody, Penn State senior saftey Jaquan Brisker has played his last game as a Nittany Lion.
The Gateway High School graduate, who progressed from junior college athlete to Division I to starter to All-American, announced via Twitter that he will be skipping Penn State’s Outback Bowl game against Arkansas and focusing on the NFL Draft, where some project he’ll be taken in the first round.
Thank you Penn State, I love you with all my heart Nittany Nation… Forever a Nittany Lion! #WeAre #LLL pic.twitter.com/KLhgC3OG9V

”Ever since I was a kid,” Brisker wrote. “I dreamt of playing on a big stage and that dream became reality. Trying to be a great role model to the kids back home, showing them it’s possible!”
Brisker joins linebackers Ellis Brooks and Brandon Smith as Nittany Lions who won’t be playing against Arkansas. He used a fifth-year of eligibility in 2021, and made the most of it. Now, it’s likely onto the NFL for Brisker.
“I’ve been waiting for this all my life,” Brisker wrote. “And I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I will always be a Nittany Lion!”
