Scrappy Lions fight hard, fall in OT to LSU

It looked like Penn State might upset LSU. But the Lions fell short, 68-63 in overtime.

The underdog Nittany Lions played well in the first half and took a 29-26 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Penn State held a 56-55 lead in the final minutes, thanks to seven unanswered points by Sam Sessoms. But LSU’s Xavier Pinson made a three-pointer on the next possession to make it 58-56. With .6 seconds left in regulation, Seth Lunday’s putback sent the game to overtime, but LSU held Penn State to five points in the OT period and held on.
