Broadcast Crew Announced for Penn State-Iowa in Two Weeks

Penn State is matched up with Indiana this week, and Iowa with Maryland, in an important Big 10 clash, but eyes are already starting to shift toward a colossal cross-division game between the Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes in two weeks.

With kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa, the broadcast crew has been announced. FOX’s top crew of Joel Klatt and Gus Johnson will be on the call, as announced by Klatt himself. Klatt will handle the color commentary while Johnson will provide play-by-play.

If Penn State and Iowa handle business this Saturday, a Top 5 matchup between two 5-0 teams will occur at Kinnick Stadium with Big 10 and College Football Playoff implications, and the exhilarating crew of Klatt and Johnson is the perfect team to cover the game.

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz has never guided the Hawkeyes to a Top 10 home matchup, so next Saturday’s contest has massive implications all around.

The Lions and Hawkeyes have met five times since 2016, with the Lions winning a series of close games between 2016 and 2019. The Hawkeyes piled upon PSU’s rough season last year, winning 41-21 in Happy Valley.
