For the second time in a week, a prominent Penn State football commit has reaffirmed his pledge to the Nittany Lions and announced that he’s shutting down his recruiting.
Jerry Cross, a 4-star tight end from Milwaukee, tweeted Wednesday that he is “locked in” with his commitment to PSU.
107% LOCKED IN. It’s been fun but I am shutting down my recruitment. To all my brothers let’s continue to build and make this the best class to come out of Penn State!💙#weare22 pic.twitter.com/10HqPcjhvc

A week ago, 4-star wide receiver Kaden Saunders announced that he is “locked in” with his Penn State commitment. There had been speculation for months that Saunders, who committed to PSU in July, might be tempted by some of the other programs that had offered him lately.
Cross and Saunders are part of a strong 2022 recruiting class for Penn State that ranks No. 6 in the nation by 247Sports.
