On Thursday night, Penn State men’s basketball returns to its old home, Rec Hall for the third-straight year after facing Ohio State and Illinois at the historic arena the past two years.
Since Penn State’s move to the Bryce Jordan Center in 1996, Penn State has played at Rec Hall on five different occasions with a 3-2 record.

This year, Penn State will host Wisconsin.
The Badgers come into State College with an overall record of 13-5 and a conference record of 5-2.
They are led by head coach, Greg Gard, who is in his 11th season at Wisconsin.
Wisconsin has three players averaging double-digits in points.
Nick Boyd is a 6′-3″ senior guard averaging 19.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He is followed by 6′-4″ junior guard, John Blackwell, who is averaging 18.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Nolan Winter is a 7′-0″ junior forward averaging 14.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Wisconsin is scoring 83.5 points per game and enter Thursday’s contest on a four-game winning streak.
Its most recent game was against Rutgers Jan. 17, a 96-87 win.
PSU enters Rec Hall with a 9-9 overall record and a 0-7 Big Ten record.
Penn State is hoping the fans will pack Rec Hall to the rafters and is counting on a student section that is right on top of the floor.
PSU is also getting healthy. It welcomed back freshman point guard Kayden Mingo and redshirt junior guard, Freddie Dilione V. to the lineup last Sunday against Maryland.
Mingo is leading Penn State averaging 15.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game in 15 games played this season. He’s also shooting 49% from the field.
Dilione is averaging 13.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from the field.
Thursday’s game will be televised live on FS1 with tip-off slated for 7:00 P.M.
