Redshirt junior Penn State offensive lineman Vega Ioane continued his standout 2025 campaign by earning his third All-American honor of the season, as he was named to the FWAA All-America second team on Thursday.
The recognition further cements Ioane’s status as one of the premier interior linemen in college football and a cornerstone of Penn State’s dominant offensive front.
Ioane has now been selected as an All-American by three NCAA-recognized outlets this season, adding the FWAA honor to second-team selections from the Associated Press and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
He has also received first-team All-America recognition from CBS Sports and On3, along with second-team nods from The Athletic and Sports Illustrated. His excellence was evident even before the season began, as he was named Preseason All-America by six major outlets, including ESPN and The Sporting News.
A 6-foot-4, 330-pound guard from Graham, Washington, Ioane has been a model of consistency and durability for the Nittany Lions. He has appeared in 44 career games and made 32 starts, anchoring an offensive line that powered one of the nation’s most effective rushing attacks.
According to Pro Football Focus, Ioane has allowed zero sacks and just three pressures across 310 pass-blocking snaps in 2025, earning an elite 89.8 pass-blocking grade ranking third among Power Four guards.
