If Penn State doesn’t pound UCLA today, something is seriously wrong.
Despite what the people of social media would have you believe, Penn State is still one of the best teams in the country.
UCLA, on the other hand, might be the worst.
The not-so-mighty Bruins are 0-4, and each loss has been embarrassing in some form: blowouts against Utah and New Mexico at home, close losses to UNLV and Northwestern. UCLA knows it’s bad, and therefore fired head coach DeShaun Foster and offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri within 10 days.
The villainous coach in The Mighty Ducks, Jack Reilly, once said: “It’s not worth winning if you can’t win big.”
That pretty much sums up Penn State’s situation today.

Penn State needs to get back to winning. That’s something it didn’t do last Saturday against Oregon, and that’s why the fan base is overall depressed. It will be hard for the fan base to fully get over the Oregon loss if and until Penn State beats Ohio State Nov. 1 in Columbus. But winning is always better than losing, and the more Penn State beats UCLA by, the better people will feel about it.
It’s also supposed to be a beautiful day in Pasadena, with temperatures between 71 and 78 degrees projected during Game Time.
