The Penn State men’s basketball program received great news today when they got their second committal from the 2026 recruiting class to be a Nittany Lion. Jamison White, the #242 overall ranked recruit in the country posted on X today his commitment to Penn State.
The 6′-7″ recruit was offered by Penn State on July 17. White is from East St. Louis, Illinois and played for East St. Louis High School. He is also the #37 ranked power forward in the country and the #3 ranked overall player from Illinois.
White helped his stock with a strong showing on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) circuit while playing for Brad Beal Elite. He shot 41% from three-point range throughout EYBL play, helping Brad Beal Elite to a Peach Jam title.
247Sports watched White play during the Peach Jam and gave the Illinois standout a glowing review:
White joins Malvern (Pa.) Phelps School wing Dionycius Bakare as the second member of Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class. Bakare has been committed for the summer and was on campus for a visit at the same time as White.
