Penn State could soon reunite brothers on its defensive line.
According to Steve Wiltfong of On3, four-star edge rusher Luke Wafle has placed Penn State in his top four as he nears commitment.
Luke, the younger brother of PSU defensive lineman Owen Wafle, is the more highly regarded recruit. Owen Wafle, an interior defensive lineman, transferred to Penn State following the 2024 season.
The 6-foot-2, Middletown, New Jersey, native redshirted at Michigan before entering the transfer portal.
Luke Wafle will choose between Penn State, Ohio State, Texas, and USC. On3 regards Wafle as the No. 14 player in the Class of 2026 and No. 4 edge rusher.
Wafle is set to visit Penn State on June 6, and 247Sports lists the recruiting interest level at warm, higher than any other program, better regarded than the other three schools listed as “cool” interest.
Wafle, 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, is a three-sport athlete who also plays basketball and track & field. He’s scheduled to visit Ohio State on May 30 and Texas on June 20.
Penn State hosts Nevada on August 30 to begin the 2025 football season, one filled with high expectations and eyes set on winning a national championship.
