Tyler Warren Returns, Honored at Penn State Blue-White Game

Two days after being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, Tyler Warren returned home to Happy Valley.

The Indianapolis Colts selected the star Penn State tight end 14th overall on Thursday, becoming the second Nittany Lion drafted this year after the New York Giants picked edge rusher Abdul Carter 3rd.

Warren returned to Beaver Stadium on Saturday for the Blue-White Game.

At halftime, Warren received the Mackey Award trophy, awarded to the nation’s top tight end.

Warren ranks first all time in Penn State tight end history in multiple categories, including total touchdowns (25, including 6 rushing), receptions (153), receiving yards (1,839), and receiving touchdowns (19). Warren also threw for a touchdown and rushed for 224 yards on 32 carries and six touchdowns as one of the most dynamic threats in the country.

Warren finished his Penn State career tied for fourth in career receptions by a Penn State tight end (153) and receiving touchdowns (19).
