It took longer than many expected, but Penn State tight end Tyler Warren is a pro.
The Indianapolis Colts selected the first-team All-American 14th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft from Green Bay.
PSU coach James Franklin spent part of the day with Warren in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Warren spent the draft with family in Virginia, instead of attending in Wisconsin.ย
Franklin congratulated his star tight end on social media following the selection.ย

Warren ranks first all time in total touchdowns by a Penn State tight end (25, including 6 rushing), receptions (153), receiving yards (1,839), and receiving touchdowns (19). A versatile all-around threat on the field, Warren also threw for a touchdown and rushed for 224 yards on 32 carries and six touchdowns.ย

He finished his college career tied for fourth in both career receptions by a Penn State tight end (153) and receiving touchdowns.ย
Warren became PSUโs single-season record holder in receptions (104 in 16 games) and single-season tight end records at Penn State and in the conference for catches and receiving yards (1,233).ย
The highlight of his season came in a 33-30 OT victory at USC. Warren caught 17 passes for 224 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 13.2 yards per catch and dominated USC at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Warren won the Mackey Award as the nationโs best tight end and finished 7th in Heisman voting.ย
The 2025 NFL Draft concludes Saturday, the same day as the 2025 Blue-White Game at Beaver Stadium.
