Beaver Stadium is going to have a different look this fall and Penn State AD Pat Kraft addressed what that look might be when talking with reporters Monday afternoon.
The Beaver Stadium renovation project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027 and cost more than $700 million.

Here’s what Kraft said about where things stand.
WHAT KRAFT SAID

“Feel really good about it,” he said. “Fundraising has been awesome. Really excited about that. (The stadium) will have temp seating. Think of Northwestern a little how they built that stadium on the shore. Or (the) Waste Management (Golf Tournament). Those are the people handling it. It’ll look very temporary.”

Kraft said that even with the temporary format, Penn State’s capacity shouldn’t change much, if at all.
He also said there will be a “construction format” but that he doesn’t expect that to create any issues.
“They’ll work throughout the year,” Kraft said.
Kraft said the temporary seating may in fact provide a better view that what the previous West Side of the stadium had.
“Really happy about where it’s going,” Kraft said. “It’s something fans are going to be proud of.”
Kraft’s goal is to have Beaver Stadium be “the greatest home field advantage in sports.”
“We’ll see more and more info come out on that over time as they put it together,” he said. “But we’re really happy with where they are from philanthropy, suite sales.”
AN ‘INTERESTING’ SPRING GAME

Kraft is confident things will run smootly by the time the regular season starts but the annual Blue-White Game might be a different story.
Penn State has more than six months before its first home game but only two until the spring game, scheduled for Saturday, April 26.
So, yeah, things could be somewhat strange.
“The spring game is going to be a little interesting, and by interesting, I really don’t know what it’s going to look like (at this point),” Kraft said. “So, you know, look for our information on how to get in the building, and get around the building. And I understand, you got the best football team in the country, and everybody wants to get in. So we’re going to try. We’re going to really work on some things to figure out nuances to that.”
