Penn State senior forward Puff Johnson is listed as out ahead of Monday’s game against Michigan (6:30 p.m. ET, BTN), per the Big Ten availability report.

Johnson — who was averaging a career-high 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds — exited the first half of a game against then-No. 12 Michigan State on Jan. 15 with a right-hand injury. During his media availability Wednesday, head coach Mike Rhoades said “He’s going to be out for a while. Hopefully, everything will get him right, go from there. But he’ll be out long term.”

Johnson will miss his fourth game this season Monday. In his place, Rhoades has started Nick Kern Jr. who has averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and two assists while shooting 50% from the field in four starts.

Penn State has won the previous three matchups against the Wolverines. However, the Nittany Lions are 3-23 on the road against Michigan all time, with its last win in the Crisler Center coming on Jan. 22, 2020. Monday’s game will be the only regular-season meeting between these two programs.
