One of Penn State football’s best players feels like he’s at full health.
On a pre-Big Ten Championship Game Zoom call with reporters Monday afternoon, Penn State RB Nicholas Singleton told reporters he “feels like 100%.”
“Throughout the whole week, I’ve been feeling good,” Singleton said.
He certainly looked good in this past Saturday’s 44-7 win over Maryland, playing one of his best games of the season, rushing for 87 yards and two scores on 13 carries. It was the first time this season that he had rushed for two touchdowns and the 87 yards were the most he’d had since Sept. 28 against Illinois, when he went for 94 on 16 carries.

It hasn’t been an easy season for the third-year RB.
A BUMPY RIDE

Initially, it looked like Singleton was poised for a career year, going for more than 100 yards in Penn State’s first two games, wins over West Virginia and Bowling Green.
He hasn’t broken 100 since, and it’s hard to argue health hasn’t been a big reason.
A week after going for 94 yards against Illinois, Singleton didn’t play against UCLA.
He’s played in each of Penn State’s seven games since, but it hasn’t been smooth sailing.
Singleton got hurt against in the second half of the team’s 35-6 win over Washington Nov. 9, but returned for the next week’s game against Purdue.
Now, it looks like Singleton is ready to roll.
HE HAS OREGON’S ATTENTION

Oregon is well-aware of what Singleton can do.
“We know Nick Singleton is one of the best running backs in the country,” linebacker Jeff Bassa told reporters via Zoom Monday.
Singleton certainly has accomplished a lot over three seasons at Penn State and, through it all, has been solid this year, too. He has 733 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging more than six yards per carry.
Saturday’s Big Ten Championship Game against Oregon is scheduled for 8 on Fox.
