The Penn State athletic department has announced that the ongoing Beaver Stadium Revitalization project has received a nice monetary gift.
Penn State athletic director Pat Kraft announced this morning that a donor, who would like to remain anonymous, has gifted the project $10 million.
This is the second recent huge amount donated towards fixing up Beaver Stadium, as last week, the Misitano Family and PAM Health committed $25 million towards this important project.
“This generous family has supported our department in a number of ways, and we are so grateful to have them as a leader in our fundraising efforts for the revitalization,” said Kraft. “This gift is a unique symbol of a deep commitment to a significant priority. We are so thankful to have the support we have received in the early stages of fundraising for this project.”
All donors that make a contribution of eight figures or more will part of the Beaver Stadium Founders club and will be recognized in a plaza outside Beaver Stadium at the completion of the renovations.
In May 2024, the Penn State Board of Trustees approved investing in a $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium, that will modernize the stadium, enhance its revenue-generating opportunities, as well as improve the fan experience.
