2026 3-Star RB Looking Forward to Building Bond With Penn State

An intriguing prospect from Georgia has officially become a target for the Penn State football program.

This morning, 2026 three-star running back Carsyn Baker (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) received word from assistant coach Khalil Ahmad that he’d received an offer from Penn State.

Baker is from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga. and is ranked by Rivals as one of the Top 40 prospects in the talent-rich state.

Prior to the offer from the Nittany Lions, Baker collected offers from programs such as Auburn, Cincinnati, UConn, Florida Atlantic, Kansas State, Kentucky, Liberty, Marshall, Ole Miss, NC State, Pitt, South Carolina, SMU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Toledo, UAB and Central Florida.

“Until today, I didn’t have a whole lot of communication with Penn State, but I had talked before with their assistant running backs coach,” Baker told Nittany Sports Now. “This morning, I had another one with Penn State, and that’s when I got word about the offer. I’m really excited because I know all about Penn State University, players that have come through their program and what going there potentially leads to.”

Baker is also a standout on the high school track team and this season, he posted a time of 10.65 seconds in the 100 meters, which is impressive considering his size.

As a freshman, Baker rushed for over 600 yards and eight touchdowns. Last season, while splitting times with three seniors, Baker carried the ball 31 times for 303 yards and three touchdowns.

“Coach told me that he loved my film and that I reminded him of a lot of great backs that have come through Penn State,” Baker said. “He believes their running scheme would fit me very well. I would describe myself as a big, fast, down-hill running back.”

Baker recently made an unofficial visit to Tennessee and told NSN that he’ll be at Alabama this Saturday and Ohio State next week.

“I really like where my recruitment is going and I’m trying to zero in on some of the schools that I’d like to focus on,” said Baker. “Penn State is definitely a school that I’d like to focus on and learn more about. I’d also like to try and get a visit up there sometime soon.”
