Penn State Makes the Cut For 2025 4-Star Linebacker/Athlete Emmanuel Karmo

‘Linebacker U’ is in the running for a 4-star prospect from Minnesota.

2025 4-star linebacker Emmanuel Karmo announced on Monday that Penn State is currently in his Top 7 schools. Joining the Nittany Lions are Oregon, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska and USC. Schools that didn’t make Karmo’s cut include Michigan State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan State, Missouri and Purdue.

Karmo (6’2″, 225-pounds) is from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is ranked the No. 1 junior prospect in the state.

This past season, Karmo recorded 48 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 1 interception. On offense, Karmo recorded 15 catches for 294 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In high school, Karmo has played several positions on defense but was mostly used as an outside linebacker. However, because of his coverage skills and athleticism, depending on the defensive scheme, Karmo could project as a defensive back on some teams.

Regardless of his position, this elite junior has the potential to be an impact defender at the collegiate level.
