Penn State’s starting left guard has been carted off the field.
JB Nelson, a second-year player from Mt. Lebanon high school in the Pittsburgh area, was carter off in early in the today’s game at Northwestern.
Penn State’s projected starting left guard coming into the season was Landon Tengwall. But days before the team’s season opener against West Virginia, Tengwall announced he had to medically retire from football. As a result, Nelson got the start in Penn State’s first four games.
Nittany Sports Now will provide updates on Nelson’s status when they are available.
