PSU is a finalist along with Florida, Florida State, Miami, Texas A&M, UCF and Vanderbilt.
Hylton is a 6-foot-5, 270-pounder from Florida’s Oviedo High School.
He took his Penn State official visit last weekend and is visiting Miami this weekend, Florida the next weekend and Florida State the weekend after. Penn State offered Hylton a relatively short time ago, doing so in late May. Along with his top seven, Hylton has offers from Bowling Green, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Marshall, Pitt and Rutgers. Hylton is a two-sport athlete, competing in throws on Ovideo’s track & field team.
247 doesn’t have any crystal ball projects for Hylton at this time.
If Hylton picks Penn State, he wouldn’t be the first to do so amongst prospects who took their official visits during June’s first weekend. Last Sunday, June 4, Penn State got three commits, all from players who had just taken their OVs. One of the commits, Deryc Plazz, is also a three-star OL from Florida. Plazz is a standout at Jacksonville’s Andrew Jackson High School.
All three of Penn State’s ‘24 commits from Florida are from Jacksonville. The other two, Jon Mitchell (four-star) and Antoine Belgrave-Shorter (three-star) are defensive backs from Mandarin High School than committed in April.
Overall, Penn State’s ‘24 Class is 17 players strong and is ranked sixth in the country by 247. With June still days away from its halfway point, Penn State’s expected to land some more commits before the end of the month. We shall see if Hylton is one of them.
