PSU, along with Rutgers and Georgia, are finalist for Josiah Brown, the highest-rated player in New York.
The 6-foot, 170-pounder from Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville, New York, is scheduled to his official visit to Penn State this past weekend, June 16-18.
Brown discussed his official visit with Blue-White Illustrated. The visit went quite well.
”It’s kind of hard to pinpoint one thing (that I liked the most)”, Brown said. “Everything was great. What I would say is that they have a really strong family atmosphere there.”
”I feel like I have a strong connection with everyone there, and because of that, I loved everything about my visit.”
Although Brown also went on an OV to Rutgers at the beginning of the month, Penn State appears to be the favorite to land him. All three of 247Sports’ crystal ball projections have Brown committing to Penn State. 247’s Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong, National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn and Penn State insider Tyler Calvaruso all forecasted Brown to Happy Valley.
Brown is also a track runner for Holy Trinity Diocesan. He ran the 55-meter dash in 6.38 seconds as a sophomore.
Penn State offered Brown is March 2022. Along with his top three, Brown has offers from schools such as Alabama, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
PSU got its first WR commit of the ‘24 cycle earlier this week, when four-star Tyseer Denmark (Philadelphia) announced his commitment.
