Penn State holds its annual Pro Day Friday.
Several former Penn State payers will have the opportunity to have their official measurements as well as get a workout in to help their draft position.
Those who are going to be participating are Barney Amor, Ji’Ayir Brown, Sean Clifford, P.J. Mustipher, Jake Pinegar, Joey Porter Jr., Juice Scruggs, Chris Stoll, Brenton Strange, Jonathan Sutherland, Nick Tarburton, Mitchell Tinsley, and Parker Washington.
Porter is the headliner. He’ll likely to be the first Penn State ever defensive back selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. Porter is a 6-foot-2, 194-pounder that ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash at the combine. He was a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2022 and a third-team all-Big Ten in 2020 and ‘21.
Brown, Mustipher, Scruggs, Strange, Tinsley, and Washington, will be expected to be drafted in the middle to late rounds in next month’s draft and will get another look from scouts Friday. Tinsley and Washington would like to improve in their 4.60 and 4.49 40-yard combine times respectively, while Mustipher and Scruggs would like to improve on their scouting combine numbers and prove in interviews, as well as their game tape, that they are draftable players.
Amor, Clifford, Pinegar, Sutherland, and Tarburton are not expected to be drafted but can still make an impression on scouts through interviews.
