One of the top juniors in Pennsylvania has included Penn State in his list of finalists.
On Thursday morning, 2024 4-star wide receiver Rico Scott released his top six schools, and it’s a who’s who of top schools with Penn State, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M making the grade. Some programs that offered but didn’t make the cut for Scott were Auburn, Cincinnati, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Scott attends Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, a school that Penn State has a strong history of recruiting. The 6’0″, 180-pound wideout is ranked by both Rivals and 247Sports.com as one of the Top 15 juniors in Pennsylvania. Last season, Scott hauled in 66 passes for 1,184 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Scott has already made at least three unofficial visits to State College, so the Nittany Lions appear to be in a good spot for him.
Penn State hasn’t added a commitment from a wide receiver yet in their Class of 2024. In their Class of 2023, they signed just one, 4-star Carmelo Taylor, so wide receiver will be a big priority this year for Franklin and his staff.
