Penn State Football Recruiting: A Breakdown of 2022-25 Recruiting Classes by Positions, Star Ratings

Penn State coach James Franklin

With Kari Jackson committing Tuesday, Penn State football has 50 players signed or committed in its 2022, ’23, 24 and now ‘25 recruiting classes.

Jackson is a four-star according to 247Sports’ composite ratings.

He’s the third player to commit to the Penn State football ’24 recruiting class, the second linebacker and the first player from outside Pennsylvania.

Jackson joins fellow four-star Anthony Speca (Pittsburgh Central Catholic) as a linebacker commit.

Jackson (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) has had an interesting high school career geography-wise. He started at West Bloomfield, then transferred to Florida’s famous IMG Academy for his sophomore season. After that, he returned to West Bloomfield for his junior year and dominated. Jackson ended this past season with 103 tackles (65 solo), 26 tackles for loss and three sacks, playing in seven games.

Thirty-five of Penn State’s 50 commits/signees, 33 are at least four stars, and four are five stars.

Here is a position-by-position breakdown of the 2022-25 classes, including their class years and 247 composite ratings.
