PASADENA, C.A.— RB Ki-Jana Carter did it for Penn State in 1995 against Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
Saquon Barkley did it 22 years later to the date with a 79-yarder against USC in the same venue.
Now, Nick Singleton has done it.
In the third quarter of Penn State’s Rose Bowl game against Utah, Singleton ran 87 yards for the third-longest rushing touchdown in Rose Bowl history to break a 14-14 tie. Penn State now leads Utah, 21-14, in the fourth quarter. Singleton has 120 yards on six carries and two scores, good for 20 yards per rush.
Here’s the clip of Singleton’s run and how Twitter reacted to it. Singleton is quite fast and proved it once again.

Not sure what I’m more excited for. The fact that we just took a lead in the rose bowl or the fact that we get these guys for another two years at least. #WeAre

Nick Singleton needs 16 more rushing yards to surpass Saquon Barkley's Penn State freshman record (1,076) in a season.
That Singleton 87 yard TD puts him at 1,061 yards on the season.
