Seeing a player who is already on the team get a full-scholarship is always a heart-warming experience for college football fans, and even more so for people who know that player personally.
But when the person presenting the scholarship is Eli Manning, well, thatโs just a different level of awesome.
Manning, a likely future Hall of Fame quarterback, visited Penn Stateโs practice Tuesday, and while there, personally presented punter Barney Amor, a Colgate transfer, with a full scholarship.

โSo in the NFL, right, you have free agents,โ Manning told Penn Stateโs huddled players. โIn college, you have walk-ons, right? I got a guy, Barney Amor.โ
โWalk-ons are important, right? Youโve got to have them. But itโs pretty damn cool when youโre on scholarship right now.โ
Immediatly after Manningโs announcement, Penn Stateโs team erupted and multiple players mobbed a joyous Amor.
Amor came to Penn State after playing at Colgate from 2017-20. He didnโt see any game action last season, with Big Ten Punter of the Year and current Baltimore Raven Jordan Stout handling Penn Stateโs punting and place-kicking duties.
This year, not only is Amor on scholarship, heโs projected to be Penn Stateโs starting punter, with coach James Franklin saying as much at his team media day press conference.
Surely, this video will make Penn State fans want to root for Amor even more.
