Watch: Eli Manning Presents Penn State Punter Barney Amor With a Scholarship

This years Blue-White Game is scheduled to kickoff at 2.

Seeing a player who is already on the team get a full-scholarship is always a heart-warming experience for college football fans, and even more so for people who know that player personally.

But when the person presenting the scholarship is Eli Manning, well, that’s just a different level of awesome.

Manning, a likely future Hall of Fame quarterback, visited Penn State’s practice Tuesday, and while there, personally presented punter Barney Amor, a Colgate transfer, with a full scholarship.

“So in the NFL, right, you have free agents,” Manning told Penn State’s huddled players. “In college, you have walk-ons, right? I got a guy, Barney Amor.”

”Walk-ons are important, right? You’ve got to have them. But it’s pretty damn cool when you’re on scholarship right now.”

Immediatly after Manning’s announcement, Penn State’s team erupted and multiple players mobbed a joyous Amor.

Amor came to Penn State after playing at Colgate from 2017-20. He didn’t see any game action last season, with Big Ten Punter of the Year and current Baltimore Raven Jordan Stout handling Penn State’s punting and place-kicking duties.

This year, not only is Amor on scholarship, he’s projected to be Penn State’s starting punter, with coach James Franklin saying as much at his team media day press conference.

Surely, this video will make Penn State fans want to root for Amor even more.
