Matt Wood, who developed into one of the Big Ten’s best players and the heartbeat of Penn State baseball, has been rewarded for his work by the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers drafted Wood in the fourth round (pick 132) of this year’s MLB Draft. This is following a fantastic senior season for the Pine-Richland High School graduate. Wood led the Big Ten in hitting in the regular season and finished second overall after postseason play with a .379 average. He also led Penn State in home runs (12) and RBI (53) and his 1.147 OPS was the second highest in the Big Ten.
