The Brewers drafted Wood in the fourth round (pick 132) of this year’s MLB Draft. This is following a fantastic senior season for the Pine-Richland High School graduate. Wood led the Big Ten in hitting in the regular season and finished second overall after postseason play with a .379 average. He also led Penn State in home runs (12) and RBI (53) and his 1.147 OPS was the second highest in the Big Ten.
Wood spearheaded a season of progress for Penn State baseball, leading the team to its first Big Ten tournament appearance since 2012 and first tournament win since 2008.
