Penn State’s two highest-rated Class of 2023 commits are also the top two interior offensive lineman in On3Sports’ latest On300 rankings.

J’ven Williams, a 6-foot-5, 300-pounder from Wyomissing High School near Reading, is a five-star recruit, the No. 1 offensive lineman and the No. 10 player overall in On3Sports’ latest On300 rankings. Alex Birchmeier (6-foot-5, 285 pounds) is a four-star recruit ranked No. 29 overall and is the second-ranked interior offensive lineman behind Williams.

Birchmeier, a product of Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia, was the first player to comity to Penn State’s 2023 class, doing so last July. Williams committed in early February of this year.

Birchmeier is a five-star recruit according to 247Sports’ composite rankings while Williams is a four-star. Birchmeier is Penn State’s No. 1 recruit according to 247, with Williams right behind him at No. 2.

Penn State’s next highest rated commit in the new On300 rankings is King Mack, a four-star safety from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, who is No. 88.

Another four-star defensive back from Florida, Elliot Washington (Venice), is No. 93, rounding out Penn State’s top 100 representatives.

Tony Rojas, a four-star linebacker from Fairfax High School in Virginia who committed to Penn State this past Thursday, is ranked No. 120, followed by Tomarrion Parker, a four-star EDGE from Central Phenix High School in Alabama, at 129.

Another Pennsylvania native, Jameial Lyons, is Penn State’s final representative in the top 200. The four-star EDGE from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia is ranked No. 195.

Not far out of the top 200 is Conrad Hussey, a four-star safety who is fellow Penn State commit King Mack’s teammate at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Joey Schlaffer, a four-star tight end from Exeter Township High School in Reading, makes his top 300 debut at No. 253, moving up drastically from No. 476. Schlaffer and Hussey, who was previously No. 304, are the two Penn State commits who made their top 300 debut in the latest batch.

In total, 11 of Penn State 19 commits are in On3’s top 300.
