J’ven Williams is a kid who puts team success over individual accolades.
With that said, going from a four-star offensive line recruit to a five-star recruit is something that he’s wanted.
”I want to be a five-star recruit…,” Williams told Nittany Sports Now earlier this month. “To be a five-star recruit means that I’m going to be projected as a first-rounder in the NFL. So that would be on my mind. I’m not going to lie; I think that is special.”
Williams still has work to do to become a five star from outlets such as 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN, but one outlet has already deemed him worthy of that fifth star.
As of today, On3 Sports has Williams listed as a five-star, the first of what the Wyomissing High School standout hopes to be multiple outlets to do so.

Williams— who is also the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania for the 2023 class according to 247Sports— committed to Penn State Feb. 5 and, with 2023 Signing Day still many months away, publicly shut down his recruitment just five days later.
Still just 16 years old, the 6-foot-4, 305-pounder still has his senior year at Wyomissing to play, and before that, has his junior year of track to look forward to, where he’s established himself as one of the top discus and shot-put throwers in Pennsylvania.
