Derrick LeBlanc, a four-star Class of 2023 defensive lineman from Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida, tweeted Monday afternoon his plans to announce where he’ll commit July 29, and Penn State is in the top three.

Florida and Oklahoma are the other two finalists for the 6-foot-4, 270-pounder who is an Adidis All-American. All three of 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions forecast Leblanc committing to Florida, where one of his main recruiters is former Penn State defensive line coach Sean Spencer, who is now Florida’s defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator.
LeBlanc went on an official visit to Penn State June 17-19. This past season, LeBlanc had eight sacks and 38 tackles for Osceola.
If LeBlanc picks Penn State, which isn’t likely based on what’s being predicted, he’d be the second interior defensive lineman to commit to coach James Franklin’s 2023 recruiting class, joining three-star Tyriq Blanding, who committed June 17.
