Marquese Williams, a Class of 2023 four-star athlete out of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pa, has narrowed his school choice down to seven, and Penn State made the list.

Penn State is in the mix along with Iowa, Louisville, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech for the services of Williams.
Williams is a 5-10, 185-pound running back who is the sixth-best recruit in Pennsylvania, the ninth-best running back recruit in the country, and the No. 209 recruit in the country.
He rushed for 1,967 yards and 26 touchdowns while averaging 6.6 yards a carry as a junior for the Crusaders, helping them advance to the Pennsylvania 4A state championship game.
Scouts are high on Williams because he is a back that is not afraid to run in between the tackles, runs north and south with good vision and cutback ability, and has the breakaway speed to finish runs. He can be an asset in the passing game. Scouts think he can get up to 200 pounds without losing his top-line speed.
If the Nittany Lions happen to get a commitment from Williams, he would be their first running back from the Class of 2023, and in the process well as keep him away from two conference rivals.
