It wasn’t quite the performance Jahan Dotson had hoped for.
At the NFL combine, some, such as NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah, expected the Penn State standout to run his 40-yard dash in the 4.3’s.

Although Dotson didn’t quite get there, he wasn’t too far off, finishing with a time of 4.43, which places him seventh amongst receivers who have run in Indianapolis. He ran a 4.47 in his second 40 time.
Dotson’s time was initially clocked at 4.41, but afterward was scaled back to 4.43.
Dotson also finished with a vertical jump of 36.00 and had a broad jump of 10’1”.
Dotson, who finished his Penn State career fourth on the schools all-time receiving list and second in receptions, is expected to go either late in the first round or early in the second round. He’s currently the 28th-ranked player on ESPN draft guru Todd McShay’s list.
Note: This story has been updated from its original version, which had Dotson’s 40-yard dash time as 4.41.
