Kevin Concepcion, a 2023 recruit out of Julius L. Chambers High School in Charlotte, NC has received an offer from Penn State. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound wide receiver has also received offers from North Carolina, NC State, Duke, Maryland, Louisville, and Florida State.
Concepcion made the Queen City All-Conference in 2021 and help lead the Ragin’ Bulls to the North Carolina 4A State championship. Conception plays primarily out of the slot that has good hands and great short-area quickness when you see his highlights on Hudl.

He is a great runner after the catch with the ability to separate from defenders. Scouts also are impressed that Concepcion can track down the beep ball whenever given the opportunity.

Concepcion is considered a three-star recruit according to 247 Sports, and a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com. He will have a chance to impress scouts and coaches during camps in the spring and summer.
It will be interesting to find out if James Franklin can lure Concepcion out of the Carolinas for school. If so, then Penn State could have a player that has a similar skill set to former Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson who is a possible first-round pick in April’s draft.
