Former PSU OLB Odafe Oweh Continues Strong Rookie Season Against Miami Dolphins

With former teammate Micah Parsons stealing the spotlight in the NFL this season, Baltimore Ravens’ rookie defensive end Odafe Oweh has slipped a bit under the radar at times this season.

However, Oweh has been a dominant presence on the Ravens’ defensive line this season, and that was on display Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins despite a loss.

Oweh made his impact felt early, forcing a punt on the Dolphins’ first offensive possession, courtesy of his team-leading fourth sack of the season.

In a very, very low-scoring offensive showing from the Ravens and Dolphins, Oweh made his impact with a four tackle (three solo) tackle, two tackle for loss and one sack performance.

Through eight games before Thursday night’s game against the Dolphins, Oweh had recorded 14 tackles (12 solo), three tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and eight quarterback hits.

Despite a 22-10 loss to the Dolphins, Oweh figures to be a key piece in the Ravens’ AFC North-challenging squad this season.
