When Penn State next returns to action, they’ll do so once again playing on ABC-TV.
On Monday, it was announced that Penn State’s homecoming matchup against Illinois on October 23 will be televised on ABC-TV. Kickoff from Beaver Stadium will take take place at Noon.
This will be the third time in their last four games that James Franklin’s team has appeared on ABC (September 18 vs. Auburn and October 2 vs. Indiana).

The Nittany Lions record now falls to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten, while Illinois sits at 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the Big Ten. Brett Bielema’s team is coming off of a 24-0 home loss to Wisconsin.
Penn State has won three straight in the series and seven of the last eight games.
