Penn State landed a huge prospect Thursday afternoon when the No. 1 interior offensive line recruit in the nation, Alex Birchmeier, committed to the Nittany Lions. He’s a member of the class of 2023 and is Penn State’s first commitment for that class.
Birchmeier is a 6-foot-5, 275-pounder from Ashburn, Va. He’s the No. 1 prospect in Virginia for the class of 2023, as well as the No. 42 overall prospect in the country.
Birchmeier was highly coveted and committed to Penn State over the likes of Ohio State, Georgia, Pitt, LSU, Michigan and many others.
